The final exercise in the cable rotations series focuses on a high elbow pulling pattern – drawing the cable back with the elbow raised, allowing the head to follow the movement naturally. The movement mimics the kind of rotational pulling action needed in many sporting and overhead activities.
Control and a slow return under tension are key. As with the other cable exercises in this series, it is best suited to patients who have access to a cable machine and are at a more advanced stage of their shoulder rehabilitation.
This exercise has been recommended by the clinical team at London Bridge Sports Medicine as part of a structured rehabilitation plan. Always perform it as directed by your clinician.
